Frigg is at the forefront of fostering sustainable civil infrastructure by leveraging Decentralized Finance (DeFi) to bridge the gap between investors and crucial climate-friendly projects. Frigg makes it easier for investors and project developers to access sustainable assets. AxLabs was chosen to review Frigg's Solidity smart contracts to ensure they are free of malfunctions and resilient against potential attacks. This work was performed in collaboration with Axelra AG.

Introduction
AxLabs conducted a detailed audit of Frigg's smart contracts to ensure they were secure and worked as intended. Over three rounds of reviews, from early August to the end of September 2022, we supported the team by identifying and fixing important issues.
This work significantly improved the strength and reliability of Frigg's decentralized finance platform, helping it move forward in its mission to transform sustainable finance.
Challenges
Understanding the codebase even in the absence of unit and integration tests.
Rectifying inconsistent naming conventions and configurations to ensure codebase coherence and functionality.
Ensuring upgradability in the smart contract design to enable extensibility and maintainability.
Identifying and addressing major vulnerabilities without requiring considerable alterations in the application's workflow.
Business Impact
Increased security: By reporting critical and major findings, AxLabs significantly augmented Frigg's smart contract security, averting potential financial setbacks.
Refinement of the code: Resolving minor and informative findings led to a more organized and comprehensible codebase, preparing it for future development and maintenance.
Testing infrastructure: The creation and documentation of unit and integration test cases, achieving ~95% test coverage, have laid a robust foundation for verifying the application reliability, thereby minimizing the risk of unforeseen issues in production.
